Prof. Egils Ginters
Prof. Egils Ginters is director of Sociotechnical Systems Engineering Institute. He is Full time Professor of Information Technologies in the Systems Modelling Department at the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. Graduated with excellence from Riga Technical University Department of Automation and Telemechanics in 1984 and holds Dr.Sc.Ing. in 1996. He is a member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), European Social Simulation Association (ESSA) and Latvian Simulation Society. Participated and coordinated some EC funded research and academic projects: e-LOGMAR-M No.511285 (2004-2006), SocSimNet LV/B/F/PP-172.000 (2004-2006), LOGIS MOBILE LV/B/F/PP-172.001 (2004-2006), IST BALTPORTS-IT (2000-2003), LOGIS LV-PP-138.003 (2000-2002), European INCO Copernicus DAMAC-HPPL976012 (1998-2000), INCO Copernicus Project AMCAI 0312 (1994-1997). Field of interests: systems simulation and logistics information systems.
Prof. Sarma Cakula
Prof. Sarma Cakula is an Professor of Information Technologies in the Faculty of Engineering. She is a member of the International E-Learning Association (IELA), the Latvian Information Technology and Telecommunications Association (LIKTA) and Latvian Universities Professor Association (LAPA). She has more than 35 scientific publications from 2001 in field of information technologies and pedagogic.
Asoc.prof. Agita Livina
Asoc. prof. Agita Livina was vice-rector for academic at the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. She was director of professional master study programme Tourism strategic management. She graduated University of Latvia Department of Geography and Earth Sciences (1996) and University of Agriculture of Latvia Department of Economics (2005). She holds Dr.oec. in 2005. Since 2001 lecturer, professor assistant and assoc. professor in Tourism Organisation and Management Department in Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Valmiera, Latvia.
Asoc. prof. Maira Lescevica
Asoc.prof. Maira Lescevica is researcher in Sociotechnical Systems Engineering institute and assoc.professor at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. Holds Dr.oec. in 2005 in Latvian University of Agriculture.
Dr. Ivars Zarumba

 

 

Dr. Ivars Zarumba is researcher in Sociotechnical Systems Engineering institute. Holds Dr.Sc.Ing degree in 1987. Worked at the Institute of Computer Science and Electronics of Latvian Academy of Science. Long time director of Traffic department of Riga City Council. Interests in Science: traffic systems modelling and planning.

Dr. Sarmite Rozentale
Dr. Sarmite Rozentale is director of BA programs and professor assistant of Finance Management in the BV Department at the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. Graduated from University of Latvia Department of Economics Cybernetics in 1982 and holds Dr.oec. in 1999.
Daiga Bekere
Daiga Bekere is doctoral student in Riga Technical University and researcher in Sociotechnical System Engineering Institute Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. Interests in science: e-learning models.
Iluta Berzina

 

Iluta Berzina is researcher at Sociotechnical Systems Engineering institute. She has master degree in tourism management. Iluta Berzina is doctoral student in Latvian University of Agriculture. Interests in science: tourism resources modelling.

Ieva Lauberte
Ieva Lauberte is researcher in Sociotechnical Systems Enginering institute of Vidzeme Universtity of Applied Sciences. She holds master degree in Sociotechnical Systems Modelling in 2007. Her research field includes agent-based simulations and agent-based toolkits.
Valdis Pornieks
Valdis Pornieks is a researcher at Sociotechnical Systems Engineering institute of Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences and is responsible for the RFID research. He is also the co-founder and technical director of IT House Ltd. Valdis Pornieks is the author of 6 publications.
